About Social Tennis
Our doubles competition is a great way for men and women to enjoy regular tennis, meet new people and become part of the Greenacres Tennis Club community.
Designed for players who enjoy a mix of competitive tennis and a welcoming atmosphere, our competition provides organised doubles match play for a range of abilities. Whether you are returning to tennis after a break, looking for regular match play, or wanting to connect with other players, you'll find a place at Greenacres.
At Greenacres Tennis Club, we believe tennis is about more than just winning. It is about enjoying the game, building friendships and creating a club environment where everyone feels welcome.
How the Competition Works
Our doubles competition runs across multiple seasons throughout the year, providing players with regular opportunities to get on court and enjoy competitive tennis.
All matches are played on Tuesday evenings, with games scheduled across two timeslots:
- 6:45 pm
- 8:15 pm
Teams consist of three players, with each player playing two sets throughout the evening.
This team format creates a great balance between competition and camaraderie, allowing players to enjoy plenty of court time while building connections with their teammates and opponents.
Players are graded to help create balanced and enjoyable matches, with fixtures prepared before each round and communicated in advance.

Whether you are an experienced competition player or returning to tennis after time away, we aim to provide an enjoyable level of competition where you can challenge yourself, improve your game and meet other tennis enthusiasts.
